Akrapovic reveals Full Moon concept
- Slovenian exhaust manufacturer Akrapovic unveiled the Full Moon concept
at the Bad Salzuflen Custombike show in Germany last week.
- The large 30-inch front wheel, which gives the bike its “Full Moon”
name, is made of aluminium and carbon and is equipped with a composite
perimeter disk brake that itself is larger than most motorcycle wheels.
- The S&S Knucklehead displaces 1524cc, but the engine looks
small in contrast to the large wheel and arc of the frame. The frame and
bodywork are made entirely of sheet metal and form an extension to the
exhausts.
- The steering is completely automated, which allows a minimalist steering
rod without any visible cables that would otherwise be required for the
bike to function. And the Full Moon can also stand upright when parked,
courtesy of its hydraulic suspension.
