Bentley SUV to be called Bentayga

At the ongoing Detroit motor show 2015, Bentley has announced that its luxury SUV will be called Bentayga. Expected to make its global debut later this year, the Bentayga will go on sale internationally in 2016. Bentley says that the SUV combines heavy doses of both performance and luxury. It is also being claimed to be as thrilling on road, as it is off it.

The name comes from a rugged mountain landscape in the Atlantic called Roque Bentayga. Bentley’s CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer also to one of the leading publication, Autocar UK, that the Bentayga is in the final stages of testing, and that it will be made available with W12, V8 and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

Speaking about the hybrid, he said "This will be a very luxurious model, but it will also be very fast and very capable."

In terms of exterior styling, the Bentayga has a Continental-like grille and circular headlamps. The cabin is expected to be made of premium leather, wood and metal.
